Old Colwyn Golf Club founded in 1907 and designed by James Braid is a 9 hole meadowland course and situated within a mile of the A.55 Chester-Holyhead Coastal Road (See Map).
The Course has excellent views of the Welsh hills
and the panoramic view of the Irish Sea and the bay of Colwyn Bay from
the 9th/18th makes one want to linger a little longer before putting out.
The signature hole of Old Colwyn is the Par 3 (7th/16th). With a tee shot of 162 yards the ball requires carry all the way over three oak trees to the green, although there is a "bale out" area for the less able or adventurous golfer.
